Capt. CR’s passion for fishing is what led to him becoming a fishing guide on Galveston Bay. He wanted to be able to share the experience with everyone of what it’s like to be on the water, fishing! Capt CR is always pushing to be the best he can be, whether its fishing for speckled trout and redfish in the bay or chasing shark, kingfish and other large fish in the nearshore Gulf waters, Capt. CR will help make every customer’s experience one of a lifetime!
For over 25 years, Captain C.R. Maher has fished the Galveston Bay system, which has increased his knowledge and expertise of the area. Because of his extensive knowledge of Galveston Bay, Captain C.R. successfully customizes trips for all anglers. Specializing in specific skills, Captain C.R. can teach a new angler, a veteran angler, a family member or even a child how to accrue different skills such as using live bait, throwing a variety of artificial baits, and trying different methods of fishing. - Camera to capture your catch of the day
- Ice chest for your catch of the day
Tips For ALL Your Fishing Trips:
BE ON TIME, Be on time, preferably early. The early morning bite is usually the most successful. Most fish love to feed at sunrise.
Listen to your captain. We want to teach you about saltwater techniques and how you can catch more fish.
Wear the proper clothing for the weather conditions. Don’t forget to include fishing hats and sunglasses. Please don’t wear black sole shoes.
Stay healthy. Drink plenty of water and hydrating drinks. Apply plenty of sunscreen especially during the summer fishing trips.
